Competitive women.


Цели: а) образовательные - развитие навыков монологический и диалогической речи, навыков аудирования; контроль монологического высказывания по теме «Конкурентоспособный учитель/ студент»;

б) воспитательные - воспитание трудолюбия, патриотизма, любви к будущей профессии; воспитание поликультурной личности;

в) развивающие - развитие памяти, мышления, расширение социокультурной компетенции; развитие личной активности студентов, их креативных и коммуникативных способностей.

Тип урока: урок совершенствования знаний, умений.

Оборудование: компьютер, презентации, аудиозапись, карточки с заданиями.

Warming-up. The theme of our lesson is "Competitive women".

What are they? Are they only business women? What is your opinion?

Answer: I think there should be competitive women-politicians, executive women, sportswomen, teachers, doctors, actresses and others.

I agree with you. Nowadays women should be competitive in many aspects of our life: in sport, policy, education, business, industry, finance.

What does it mean to be a competitive woman?

We speak today about it.

You practise in listening, speaking and show your presentations about competitive teachers and students to your mind. Let's train our tongues at first.

You are future teachers. You know the pedagogical demands to the personality of a teacher.

There are a lot of efficient, creative and talanted teachers at the padagogical department of our Technical school. Can you name some of them?

To our mind at our Technical school there are a lot of efficient and outgoing teachers. One of them is Voronova Natalia Alexeevna. She is a model of a teacher for students. She is efficient, energetic, hard-working and intelligent.
Natalia Alexeevna is working as a teacher of Biology at our technical school. Besides she is the head of our pedagogical department. She has been working as a teacher for 28 years. Natalia Alexeevna has got the highest rate.
She is punctual and precise. Her working day starts at 7.40 and ends at 5.00.

Natalia Alexeevna has got a look which is associated with an executive woman. She has a smart hair-cut. She doesn't wear a lot of make-up, not much jewellery. She wears a gold chain bracelet on her hand, necklaces and brooches. The whole image is one of smartness and efficiency.

Natalia Alexeevna is an experienced teacher. She uses modern technologies, efficient methods of teaching in her work. She teaches her students to use their knowledge in practice. Her students always take part in science-practical conferences and competitions successfully.

Her colleagues and students respect her. She is a strong, independent, intellegent and focused woman. It goes without saying Natalia Alexeevna is a competitive teacher.

Sportswomen should also be competitive if they want to win the first prisze. Only the most hard-working, ambitious and resilient of them are able to win Olympic gold medals. Today we speak about the most outstanding sportswomen of our country.

Nowadays she is…

Women try to succeed in policy and they reach the top in many countries. Can you name some of the countries where women are presidents or prime-ministers?

Who was the most famous and most successful womam-politician in Great Britain?

Margaret Thatcher was elected as a Prime-Minister from the Conservative Party in 1979.

Why was she successful? What can you say about her immage?

Can we say that she was a macho woman?

She was one of the most successful but tough and ruthless politicians of the UK.

In 1990 Thatcher was retiered. In February 2007 she became the first Prime-Minister of the UK to be honoured with a statue in the House of Parliament while still living. She made a rare and brief speech in the member's lobby of the House of Commons, responding 'I might have preffered iron - but bronze will do. It won't rust'.

Why did she prefer iron?

She was nicknamed 'the iron Lady'. This nick name was given to her by the Soviet journalists.

Listening.

Women are successful in policy, sport, business, but although they should be careful and tender mothres, good wives, hosekeepers. They have got a lot of duties about the house.
