Интеллектуально-развлекательная игра In the World of English для учащихся 4 класса

Цель: обобщение лексического и грамматического материала по изученным темам.

Задачи:

• расширять кругозора учащихся.

• развивать познавательную активность и умения применять полученные знания в новой коммуникативной ситуации; развивать интеллектуальные способности; формировать мотивацию к изучению английского языка.

• воспитывать уважительное отношение к другой культуре; развитие умения работать в команде.

Комментарии: урок проводится в виде соревнования между двумя командами учащихся 4 класса.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент. Представление команд.

Good morning, dear friends. I'm glad to see you at our game. Two teams are going to compete now. So, let's start!

Ребята, сегодня у нас необычный урок, а урок-игра. Две команды будут выполнять задания конкурсов. Та команда, которая наберет больше очков, и будет победителем. Желаю удачи!

Конкурс 1 «Разминка»

Our first game is "Warming-up". Each team should answer my question in turn.

3. How many days are there in a week? (7 days)

4. What day comes after Friday? (Saturday)

7. When do the English celebrate Christmas? (In December)

8. When do the Americans celebrate Halloween? (In October)

9. What is Coca-Cola? (a drink)

10. What is a hot dog? (a sandwich)

Now we have the last game. Our teams should guess a riddle. I'll say some words about the famous characters of English and American books and cartoons. You should guess whom I mean.

5. This is a boy. He has no parents. His parents were magicians and the angry man killed them. This boy is very talented and clever. He studies at the magic school. He can do a lot of magic tricks. He has got a lot of friends. They help him to fight against angry men. (Harry Potter)

6. She is a very kind and nice girl. She has got a father but she hasn't got a mother. Her stepmother and her stepsisters are angry and greedy. This girl has got a godmother, a fairy. The fairy gives her a beautiful dress and crystal shoes to go to the ball. But the girl loses one shoe. (Cinderella)
