Цели урока:

Образовательная цель: Развитие навыков устной монологической и диалогической речи, навыков изучающего чтения, расширение лексического запаса по теме «Экологические проблемы»

Воспитательная цель: формирование уважительного отношения к природе и ответственного отношения к экологическим проблемам, воспитание бережного отношения к природным богатствам, чувства любви к родной природе.

Развивающая цель: развитие информационных умений учащихся, умение обобщать информацию, развитие самостоятельности и ответственности.

Задачи урока:

Коммуникативные задачи:

1. Совершенствовать навыки и умения речевой деятельности на английском языке.

2. Развивать умение ознакомительного чтения;

3. Учить работать в группах;

4. Развивать умение говорения - учить высказывать своё мнение по проблемам экологии на основе прочитанного текста;

5. Активизировать изученные лексические единицы по теме «Проблемы экологии»;

6. Обучать учащихся выражать и аргументировать свое отношение к проблеме;

7. Проанализировать экологическую ситуацию в г. Воскресенске и определить приемлемые пути решения проблем;

8. Стимулировать желание детей общаться на английском языке.

Межпредметные связи: английский язык, химия, биология, география, экология.

Оснащение урока:

Технические средства обучения (компьютер, мультимедийный проектор), фильм Virginia Evans, Jenny Dooley - Enterprise Video Level 4 (Видео курс изучения английского языка Enterprise) [1999], карточки с текстом.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент. Постановка цели урока. Введение учащихся в языковую среду. Речевая зарядка.

Методы: просмотр видеосюжета «Чем грозит экологическая катастрофа Великобритании» (Great Britain ecological problem), мозговой штурм, прогнозирование.

Учитель вводит учащихся в языковую среду и тему урока с помощью видеосюжета Great Britain ecological problem, которое является своеобразным «мостиком» к основной части урока.

Речь учителя: Good morning, I`m really glad to see you. I hope everybody is fine today. Let`s begin our lesson with the film. I think it`s a good beginning. Look at the blackboard. Here we have the title of the film: "Great Britain ecological problem". Think and give your ideas what this film can be about.

На доске: big cities- the seas- gas/ oil platforms- changing climate-erosion at Dunwich village.

Учащиеся высказывают свои идеи по содержанию фильма. Учитель записывает всё на доске в виде ассоциограммы.( метод класстера)

Big cities- factories, cars, a lot of people, much food, clothes- it's necessary to get much more oil, gas- to fish and kill animals- oil/gas platform pollute the sea- global warming- erosion at Danwich village.

Используется технология критического мышления: мозговой штурм и метод прогнозирования. Затем учитель предлагает учащимся сравнить свои идеи с текстом фильма.

Речь учителя: Thank you for your ideas. All of them are wonderful. Now let`s watch the video and see who is right.

2. Ознакомительное чтение текста с дальнейшей передачей информации в устной форме с опорой на текст.

Работа в группах. Учащиеся поделены на четыре группы. Каждая группа читает свой абзац текста и готовит сообщение в группе по прочитанному с опорой на составленные кластеры.

Метод "Кластеры"- выделение смысловых единиц текста и графическом их оформлении в определенном порядке в виде грозди.

In recent years the number of environmental problems has increased greatly. One of the most dangerous problems for our planet is global warming which means that most climates all over the world are changing and getting warmer. It happens because we burn too much petrol resources, such as oil and coal, and the Earth heats up. This process can cause melting of the polar ice and the sea level rising in the future. If the climate changes there will be floods, heavy storms or severe droughts in different areas of the world. Cutting down on exhaust fumes from vehicles could help solve this serious problem.

Our planet is overpopulated, that's why we are using up our natural resources - they are not endless. So the scientists have started looking for some alternate forms of energy such as water, wind, sunlight and even tides. These resources are clean, natural and unlimited. I'm glad that modern automobile industries make hybrids which use electric or solar energy instead of petrol. It would definitely help protect our environment from pollution.

There are different kinds of environmental pollution: air pollution, water pollution, land pollution. Sadly, not all human beings realize or admit that we are the ones who cause these problems and we should be the first to stop them and protect our environment. Because of the industrial revolution the air is polluted with awful chemicals; seas and oceans are poisoned with oil spills. Many rare species of flora and fauna are threatened with extinction.

We should be proud to live on our wonderful planet and understand that the consequences of pollution might be terrible and affect us and our children later. We should start recycling things made of glass, paper, plastic and aluminium. We should stop smoking and plant as many trees as we can because they can give us more oxygen. We need to drive less and use public transport in order to reduce fuel burning. We are responsible for the situation.

3. Актуализация лексических единиц по теме «Проблемы экологии».

Учитель предлагает учащимся обсудить тему с помощью проблемных вопросов, тем самым активизировать в речи учащихся лексические единицы по данной теме.

Методы: проблемный, мотивации, работы с новой лексикой.

Речь учителя: - So, today, as you can guess, the subject of our lesson is: ''Ecological problems». We will continue discussing the ecological problems and the ways out of the situation. That's why you need to learn some more new words and get information about the environmental problems in our Voskresensk region. As you can see we have some guests today. They're senior students from medical class. They will get acquainted you with environmental problems of Voskresensk and do the quiz with you.

Речь старшеклассника :- Every year a lot of people around the globe get more and more environmentally concerned. What are the most serious environmental problems now?

Ученик 8 класса -There is water pollution, air pollution, the pollution of the environment and there is also nuclear pollution.

Речь старшеклассника: - Which diseases can people have because of pollution?

Ученик 8 класса - allergy.

Речь старшеклассника: - Yes, you are absolutely right. Which ecological problems do you think we have in our town?

Ученик 8 класса: - There is a lot of litter on the streets, we have we have air and water pollution because of factories in our region, we have huge lands of fills next to our town, it harms people's health.

Речь старшеклассника: - I strongly agree with you. Now let's watch the presentation we got ready as research work on Chemistry, Biology, Ecology and of cause, it's in the English language.

IV. Изучение нового учебного материала: расширение лексического запаса учащихся по теме: «Проблемы экологии».

1. Учащиеся знакомятся с результатом труда старшеклассников - презентацией.

Речь старшеклассника: - What new information did you get from this presentation?

Ответы учеников: - We knew that we have an ecological disaster in our town. We have a lot of ecological problems in our region which can be solved by the government.

• We got acquainted with new words on topic "Diseases, chemical elements, ecology" and so on.

What ways out can be suggested for ecological solution in our neighborhood?

• I think, it must be the recycling white mountains,

• I suppose, the installation of new modern filters,

• In my opinion, it must be planting trees,

• To my mind, we should take part in clear- up days etc.

В качестве подведения итогов учащимся предлагается создание постера, предупреждающего людей об экологических проблемах.
